After leading the management, sales and technology teams in CoreHR for the previous number of years, the founders took majority ownership of CoreHR in 2010.

CoreHR delivered world class SaaS HR and Payroll solutions to some of the leading organisations including the Oxford University, Primark, PepsiCo, Amgen, Pfizer and Burberry Group.

2011 - 2015

Majority Exit To PE

After more than doubling CoreHR's revenue in under 4 years, the founders had their first of several private equity exits by selling a majority interest in CoreHR to the Baltimore-based equity firm JMI Equity.

The founders retained a significant shareholding in the company and moved to the board.

From Founders To Investors - Planr 1.0

After selling their majority stake in CoreHR the founders began investing in other companies, it was during this time the first version of Planr was built in TDS, a fast paced enterprise SAAS access control and visitor management platform with clients in US, Europe and APAC. Planr started out as an internal tool to help the new investors track levels of surety and increase grip in bookings and revenue. Fuelled by winning international clients such as LinkedIn, Booking.com, Goldman Sachs and Mastercard, the Planr methodology, technology and approach was one of the cornerstones to a 3.5x increase in revenue in three years fully boot strapped.

Board Roles vs Building Companies - Planr 2.0

The sale of CoreHR in early 2020 to The Access Group, a portfolio company of TA Associates and Hg, allowed the founders to turn their focus to commercialise Planr which was becoming increasingly effective in generating growth in their portfolio companies. Following extensive R&D, Planr.io was officially launched to the Irish & UK market in May 2020.

2018 - 2021

AI Fuelled Insights - Planr 3.0

Following a successful exit from TDS, the natural move was to board roles with a number of different companies. It was during this time there was a recognition that with a number of board roles and the amount of data coming from each company coupled with the fact that there was no longer operational involvement day to day. meant that there had to be a better solution than reading and cross referencing Excel and Powerpoint. Planr 2.0 was built. A tool to plug-in existing financial data across a range of companies and layer in a view on CRM.

2021 - Present

Natural Language - Planr 4.0

What if you could see how your business was going to perform over the next 12 months, what if the things that were going to get you in Q4 were shown to you in March and you took steps to correct them before they happened? What if you didn’t even have to log onto your phone or laptop you just asked.

What’s coming next? We see the future where all of private companies data is used to gain insights in to how companies will perform. Value creation, stronger exits for companies who wrap their arms around leading indicators in their businesses and take action before the inevitable has happened. All of this through a natural language interface. Its evolutionary its revolutionary. It is a change that is coming for privately held companies.
